Jordan Heading made the right plays down the stretch, helping Taichung Wagor take a 113-105 victory over New Taipei CTBC in the 2021-22 T1 League season, Saturday at Xinzhuang Gymnasium.
With his shots not falling, the Fil-Australian did the other things for the Suns, who climbed up to a 10-7 record in the standings.
Down by 12, 98-86, early in the final frame, Taichung stormed back with a 16-4 blast to knot things up at 102-all.
Anthony Tucker then gave the Suns the lead after scoring on five straight points — the latter a find by Heading that led to a triple.
The rally did not end there as Ting Shengju and Sani Sakakini scored big buckets to cap their rally at 27-4.
Heading ended up with 12 points on 5-of-13 shooting from the field with eight rebounds and three assists.
Ting led the way for the Suns with 26 points built on six treys while Sakakini tallied a triple-double with 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists. Tucker also had 20 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists.
Cleanthony Early was the high-point man for New Taipei with 37 points. Marlon Johnson had a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds while naturalized Taiwanese player Mohammad Al Bachir Gadiaga added 17 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
Heading and the Suns will have a week off before facing Tainan TSG at National Taiwan University of Sport Gymnasium.
