Jason Brickman and Kaohsiung Familymart made it rain on Taoyuan, taking a dominant 116-82 win in the 2021-22 T1 League season, Saturday at Chung Yuan Christian University Gymnasium.
After a close first quarter that saw the Aquas lead 29-22, the trio of Brickman, Hu Longmao, and Ferrakohn Hall torched the Leopards, scoring the majority of their 36 point output to gain a 65-47 lead at the half.
The lead would only grow from there as the Aquas led by as much as 39 points, 116-77, after a Wu Hsiaojin bucket with 1:25 remaining.
On fire was Kaohsiung from downtown, knocking down 14 treys while shooting 51.68-percent from the field.
Kaohsiung had six players score in double-digits, including Brickman who had 17 points and nine assists.
Hu led the way with 20 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and four steals while Yu Chunan added 11 points. The two knocked down six treys each.
Mindaugas Kupšas tallied a double-double as well with 17 points and 18 rebounds while Yu Huanya and Hall chipped in 13 points each for the now-9-1 Kaohsiung.
On the other hand, Caelan Tiongson was limited to a season-low output, going just 2-of-11 from the field for six points. He also just grabbed six rebounds.
Du Yucheng and new import John Gillon led the Leopards with 15 points each. Tsai Yangming and Troy Williams both had 12 points apiece with the former also grabbing 10 rebounds.
The Leopards suffered their fifth straight loss to fall to 1-7.
Tiongson and Taoyuan will look to bounce back tomorrow as they host Jordan Heading and Taichung Wagor in the same venue.
Brickman and Kaohsiung, meanwhile, will have an eight-day break before facing Taoyuan again, this time at University of Taipei, Tianmu Campus Gymnasium.
