The Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors will have to go without three solid contributors for much of the 2018 Chooks to Go-Philippine Superliga Invitational Cup.
Jhoana Maraguinot will miss up to three weeks with a strained knee.
On the other hand, Toni Rose Basas will need to recover from an operation on her infected ear and will be re-evaluated this coming Saturday for a timetable on her return.
Rica Rivera will need to continue rehabilitating the knee she injured during UAAP Season 80. She will return during the All-Filipino Cup.
Speaking with Tiebreaker Times after Sta. Lucia’s first loss, head coach George Pascua remains confident in his remaining players.
“Confident pa rin naman kami. Very capable pa rin naman ‘yung mga natira naming players. Kailangan lang namin mabawasan ‘yung mga errors namin un the coming games,” Pascua thought.
But it will be hard for the Lady Realtors to survive, as the league’s pasarelle rules exposes a team that lacks depth.
