SOURCES: Bennyqt, Dlar to join Aura PH

MPL-PH powerhouse Aura PH continued its revamp with the addition of two of the brightest young talents in the league today.

In light of the release of long-time players Kielvj “Kielvj” Hernandez and Renz “Renzio” Cadua, Aura PH acquired the services of Exexration’s Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales and ONIC PH’s Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera according to Tiebreaker Times’ sources.

The organization also posted silhouettes of the two, hinting at the possible acquisitions on their official Facebook page.

Bennyqt left Execration last Monday, and the move to Aura PH was confirmed by Execration franchise player Billy “Z4pnu” Alfonso during his Facebook stream last Monday.

But what came as a surprise was the transfer of Dlar, who was one of the cornerstones of ONIC PH for the past three seasons. ONIC PH finished second place in the fourth and fifth seasons but suffered their worst outing in the sixth addition as they fell to fourth place after a disappointing reverse sweep from Execration in the battle for third place.

It is an interesting move considering that Dlar and Bennyqt, along with Aura holdover Ashley Marco “Killuash” Cruz plays the same position.

Bennyqt also made it known that he wanted to play the core or support position before he left Execration.

The addition of the two is a welcome sight for Aura PH after a disappointing exit in Season Six which saw them lose via sweep against ONIC PH in the quarterfinals.

Bennyqt and Dlar will be joining Jaypee, Rafflessia, Killuash, and Greed on the roster.

And fans will get to see this lineup in action for the first time in ONE Esports: MPL Invitational on November 27.
