SMART brings Team Pilipinas athletes closer to home

The Philippines’ bravest and boldest athletes are competing across 35 sports in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia.

These athletes will try to up the 1-gold, 3-silver, and 11-bronze haul of the country in Incheon back in 2014.

With this mission, SMART is going all out in its support for Team Pilipinas in this endeavor.

From August 18 to September 2, the Philippine team will be focusing on the task at hand. To bring them closer to home, SMART has pledged to give each of the 272 athletes their own roaming manager and sim cards for them to keep in touch with their families and friends.

“We are very thankful for the support of Smart. The athletes feel your support as we represent the Filipinos,” expressed Philippine Olympic Committee secretary-general Pato Gregorio.

“We at SMART are guaranteeing full support to our national team in the 2018 Asian Games,” said SMART Sports chief Christopher Quimpo.

Both Gregorio and Quimpo are calling on every Filipino to support our athletes who will fight for flag and country.

“Let’s show the world once again what puso is all about!”
