Skem signs with BOOM Esports

Gabriel “Skem” Ong has signed with Indonesian squad BOOM Esports for the 2022 Dota Pro Circuit season, the organization announced on Friday evening.

OB Esports x Neon announced the departure of Skem last Saturday.

The 21-year-old Skem will reportedly play the hard support role for BOOM Esports.

BOOM Esports, who finished at fifth and seventh during the DPC Southeast Asia Seasons One and Two, had one last chance to enter The International 10 through the SEA regional qualifiers but fell to TNC in the lower bracket finals.

The Indonesian squad recently let go of carry Randy “Dreamocel” Sapoetra and soft support Brizio “Hyde” Putra. They then lost captain Alfi “Khezcute” Nelphyana to retirement.

On the other hand, Skem was part of the exodus in OB Neon that also saw John “Natsumi-” Vargas and Erin “Yopaj” Ferrer leave the squad.
