Sisi Rondina calls on Choco Mucho to continue stepping up for Des Cheng

STA. ROSA – Sisi Rondina and the rest of the Choco Mucho team vowed to continue fighting for their teammate, Des Cheng, who was recently ruled out of the season after suffering an ACL tear in her right knee.

Choco Mucho played their first game without Cheng on Thursday night, sweeping Galeries Tower, 25-21, 25-16, 25-20, to secure their third consecutive win in the Premier Volleyball League Second All-Filipino Conference at the Sta.

Cheng landed awkwardly during the second set of their victory against Cignal in Antipolo last Thursday. The former La Salle standout had to be helped off the court.

Rondina continued to lead the Flying Titans from the front, unleashing 16 points on 13 attacks, two blocks, and one ace, along with 10 excellent digs and seven excellent receptions in the win that put them at 3-1 in the standings, tied with Chery Tiggo and PLDT at the third position.

Choco Mucho also received contributions from Caitlyn Viray and Bea De Leon, who delivered 11 and 10 points, respectively, while Regine Arocha added eight points.

Rondina said she’s glad to see the rest of the team stepping up for the injured Cheng, who has been a pivotal part of the Flying Titans’ system.PVL-AFC-Choco-Mucho-vs.-Galeries-4691 Sisi Rondina calls on Choco Mucho to continue stepping up for Des Cheng News PVL Volleyball - philippine sports news
