Encho Serrano bagged home Most Valuable Player honors in the mini-tourney of the PBA Season 47 Draft Combine, Thursday at the Gatorade Hoops Center.
The Kapampangan guard averaged 14.0 points across three games in a campaign that saw him tow A-1 Converge to the top of the pocket tilt.
He dropped 15 points in their 67-53 conquest of B-2 Rain or Shine in the championship to take home the P50,000 top prize.
Serrano also has an additional P5,000 for winning the MVP plum.
The former Barangay Ginebra 3×3 star bannered the Mythical Five, together with Shaun Ildefonso, Kurt Lojera, Ato UIar, and JayR Dela Cruz.
Serrano, though, wasn’t the only one who shone in the final.
Nino Ibanez led the FiberXers with 18 points, while JM Calma chipped in 13 markers in the victory.
The Elasto Painters, on the other hand, were led by the game-high 19 points of Orlan Wamar. Shaun Ildefonso supplied 10 in the loss.
Wamar, though, still went home with P5,000 after ruling the Three-Point Shootout held prior to the final. He made 11 points to win the contest.
