Sean Manganti, Che’Lu manhandle Batangas-EAC

Sean Manganti and the Che’Lu Revellers hardly broke a sweat in their wire-to-wire win over the Batangas-EAC Generals, 89-63, Tuesday in the 2019 PBA D-League at Paco Arena in Manila.

Sean Manganti rediscovered his shooting touch with his 20 points, four rebounds, and two assists to set the pace for the Revellers’ bounce-back victory.

Jessie Collado registered a double-double in tune of his 19 points and 12 rebounds, as Chris Dumapig had 13 points and 15 boards for Che’Lu.

“Nasabon na namin yung team sa last practice namin. Sinabi namin sa kanila na hindi porket talented kayo, guaranteed na mananalo tayo. We have to work every game,” said coach Stevenson Tiu.

The Revellers wasted no time taking control of the game as they started with an 11-1 blast and did everything right to hold off the Generals.

It was all Che’Lu as the lead stretched to as much as 34 a number of times in the fourth frame as last season’s back-to-back bridesmaids coasted to its second win in three games and move up to joint third place in the Aspirants Group.

Batangas-EAC, meanwhile, fell to a 1-2 record with Kyle Carlos scoring 13 in the extended garbage time to topscore for his side.

The Scores:

Che’Lu 89 — Manganti 20, Collado 19, Dumapig 13, Bautista 10, Suerte 7, P. Manalang 6, Gabo 5, Bringas 4, Ng 3, Viernes 2, R. Manalang 0, Chua 0.
