It was a tense and drama-filled Episode 2 of the “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition,” and there’s more to come when the third episode airs in the Philippines this Monday at 9 p.m. on One Sports.
Filipino candidates Louie Sangalang and Lara Pearl Alvarez had some great moments in the second episode, with the pair’s efforts getting noticed by ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong throughout the show.
Sangalang once again shone in the episode, leading Team Valor to a win in the business challenge as their Project Manager, while Alvarez stood up for Team Conquest in the boardroom presentation to avoid being put on the chopping block for the second-straight episode.
With Episode 3 nearing, here are some things that fans should look out for and expect from their local candidates.
Will Louie Sangalang Continue To Shine?
Sangalang promised a no-nonsense approach the moment he was announced as one of the 16 global candidates.
So far he’s living up to expectations.
Sangalang propelled Team Valor to an Episode 1 win in the relay challenge, and then he continued to prove his business savvy in the second episode as the Project Manager for the business challenge, all while handling teammate Clinton Tudor’s quirks.
Now, the question is if Sangalang can carry the momentum he has created for himself and his team into the next episode.
Lara Pearl Alvarez And Team Conquest Need Wins
Unlike Sangalang, Alvarez didn’t get off to a good start. In the inaugural episode, the Filipina was put on the chopping block before Sityodtong revealed that he wasn’t going to send her home.
Alvarez promised never to be in that position again, and she avoided it by stepping up for Team Conquest, albeit in a lost cause.
Her efforts were definitely appreciated by Sityodtong, though, and she was left off the chopping block the next time around. But in a surprise move, Sityodtong took out two members of Team Conquest – Roman Wilson and Alvin Ang.
Now, Alvarez and her squad need a win, and they’ll have to do it with just six members of the team left.
Angela Lee Visits The Candidates
After meeting Georges “Rush” St-Pierre and Renzo Gracie, the global candidates will next meet ONE Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee.
The candidates were taken above and beyond by St-Pierre and Gracie, and now it’s Lee’s turn to test the mettle of the remaining candidates.
