Justin Patton is nowhere to be found in San Miguel’s PBA Commissioner’s Cup meeting versus Magnolia Sunday at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
The former NBA cager has reportedly missed three practices since their 116-112 loss to Rain or Shine, leaving the Beermen with no choice but to play with an all-Filipino lineup versus the Hotshots in a clash of teams coming off defeats.
He actually finished with 12 points alongside 17 rebounds, three assists, and a block in the 27 minutes he saw action against the Elasto Painters.
But the 7-foot big man struggled shooting-wise as evidenced by a 4-of-13 clip from the floor, including the missed four-pointer with about four seconds left.
As of this posting, Patton has yet to be seen at the Big Dome, and his absence will surely be missed by a team hoping to go above .500 in the standings.
This situation, furthermore, could cause some concern regarding his future with the franchise, which he’s helped to two wins in their last three outings.
