Another game has been postponed in the NCAA Season 98 Seniors Basketball Tournament due to protocols.
The clash between San Beda University and Arellano University scheduled on Tuesday at 12:00 NN will be moved to another date, according to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation.
This, as at least two Chiefs tested positive for COVID-19. Moreover, this will also most likely affect Arellano’s scheduled game against Colegio de San Juan de Letran on Friday.
The league has yet to make an official announcement as of publishing.
This would mean that only one game will be played on Tuesday, the clash between Letran and University of Perpetual Help System DALTA.
Arellano is the fourth school that has had its games postponed due to health and safety protocols.
Letran had its opening two games that broke the league’s tradition of having the champion facing off against the host to open the season.
Last month, San Sebastian College-Recoletos had two of their games moved as six Golden Stags tested positive for COVID-19.
Last week, Jose Rizal University had its last two games in the first round also moved due to at least four players testing positive. The Heavy Bombers will instead play the Golden Stags on Friday and College of Saint Benilde on October 26.
San Beda is 6-3 in the standings, while Arellano is holding a 4-5 card.
