Saitama Ageo game vs NEC cancelled due to protocols

Jaja Santiago and Saitama will only have four games in the 2021-22 V.League season this month.

The league has announced that the Ageo Medics’ game against NEC scheduled from January 22 and 23 at Ageo Citizen Gymnasium has been cancelled.

This is due to a Red Rockets official testing positive for COVID-19.

The Ageo Medics’ game against Kurobe this weekend is still on.

Saitama is currently fifth in the standings with an 8-6 slate.

Santiago and Ageo Medics last played in the Empresses’ Cup last month.

Saitama defeated Higashi Fukuoka High School, 25-17, 25-17, in the opening round. Then it dominated University of Tsukuba in straight sets, 25-23, 25-19, 25-22.

The Ageo Medics, though, yielded to PFU in four sets, 22-25, 25-21, 21-25, 20-25, last December 13.
