Sage Tolentino will no longer attend Auburn once he graduates in 2022.
The lone pledge of Auburn so far has de-committed from the program, after committing to the school back on October 15, 2020.
“After a lot of discussions and talking with my family and coaches, I have decided to reopen my recruitment and want to keep my options open at this time,” said Tolentino, the 15th-ranked center in the class of 2022.
“I would like to thank Coach [Bruce] Pearl and the entire coaching staff at Auburn for believing in me since day one. I’m humbled by the offer and the opportunity they have given me. Mahalo and God Bless.”
Other schools that courted the 7-foot Tolentino were Kansas, Cincinnati, Xavier, and Kentucky.
Tolentino is a product of Maryknoll High School. He steered the school to back-to-back crowns in the HHSAA.
In 2020, Tolentino and his family moved to Ohio, with Sage transferring to Hamilton High School.
