Two big names have entered their names for the 2022 PBA Rookie Draft set for May 15 at Robinson’s Place Malate.
Brandon Rosser and Encho Serrano have already submitted the necessary requirements for the draft.
Virtual Playground chief Charlie Dy confirmed the development as he submitted the documents of the two along with Jollo Go on Tuesday morning.
Rosser, a 6-foot-7 product of UC Riverside, is currently playing for Limitless in the PBA 3×3 tournament.
The 28-year-old big man was supposed to join last season’s draft but had issues in securing his certification from the Bureau of Immigration and recognition papers from the Department of Justice.
Beginning this draft, all Filipino-foreigners no longer need to submit those documents as they are only required to have a legit Philippine passport.
Serrano and Go, meanwhile, are teammates in La Salle and in Ginebra 3×3.
Serrano, a 6-foot guard, had a sensational 2021 campaign, leading Pampanga and Basilan to the NBL and MPBL titles, respectively.
The 22-year-old native of Pampanga was also the NBL Most Valuable Player.
Go, meanwhile, played for Manila in the MPBL after leaving DLSU in 2019.
If they are signed by the 5-on-5 teams that drafted them, they will no longer be eligible to play in the league’s 3×3 tournament.
