San Miguel just got a lot deeper.
Moments after signing with Converge, the team quickly shipped Robbie Herndon to the Beermen on Monday.
In exchange, the FiberXers got the Beermen’s second round picks in both the 2023 and 2024 PBA Rookie Drafts.
The trade has the approval of the league.
Questions swirled as to why Converge signed Herndon to a one-year deal inside the league’s office in Libis rather than in their headquarters earlier in the day.
Multiple sources closely monitoring the situation told Tiebreaker Times that the deal has been pre-arranged by Converge, San Miguel, and Herndon’s camp.
Back in last season’s Philippine Cup, Herndon normed 8.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per contest.
He raised his numbers to 10.3 points and 5.1 rebounds per game during the last conference of Alaska in the league.
