Rising star Santisima thankful for a fruitful 2016

Up-and-coming prospect Jeo Santisima (11-2) is simply thankful for the blessings coming to his career this 2016.

The young Santisima started off the year with a come-from-behind victory over Marco Demicillo in the undercard of Pinoy Pride 35. He followed this up during the historic Nonito Donaire-Zsolt Bedak card, winning his fight opposite Terdchai Doungmontree in the undercard.The-Time-Has-Come-Jeo-Santisima-vs-Tabthong-Tor-Buamas Rising star Santisima thankful for a fruitful 2016 Boxing News - philippine sports news

The 20-year old Masbate-native then followed it up with another finish against Junior Bajawa last July. Capping off his spectacular 2016, he drew high praise in his victory against Rex Wa-o during Pinoy Pride 39.

From a young kid who just wanted to make his father proud, he is now one of the fast-rising boxers in the region. In his success, he remains grateful to the opportunities given to him.

“Nagpapasalamat ako sa ALA Promotions na nakapaglaro ako ngayong gabi,” said Santisima. “Ito na siguro yung career ko, ipagpapatuloy ko ng mabuti.”

Heading into the new year, Santisima plans to continue to be active in the ring to reach his goal of becoming a champion someday.

“Depende sa ALA Promotions kung sino ang ibibigay sakin na kalaban ko. Lalaban talaga ako kahit sino yun kasi ito yung pangarap ko,” he said. “Patuloy lang ang laban. Mag-concentrate at mag-focus.”

“Sana dire-direcho na ang pangarap ko mag-champion.”
