Remy Martin and Kansas ended the calendar year with a bang, routing Nevada, 88-61, Thursday (Manila time) at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas.
Martin had nine points in the game, going 2-of-3 from downtown with four assists and a rebound.
Already leading by 12 at the half, the Jayhawks went on a blistering pace to start the second half.
The Jayhawks held the Wolf Pack without a basket for better than four minutes while using a 12-0 run to build a lead of 61-36 with 12:51 to play.
Christian Braun led the Jayhawks with 22 points while Ochai Agbaji got 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds.
Both DaJuan Harris and David McCormack got 14 points each as well for Kansas.
With the win, Kansas moved up to 10-1 while dropping Nevada to 6-5.
Desmond Cambridge Jr and Grant Sherfield paced Nevada with 16 points each.
The Jayhawks will now open the 2021-22 Big 12 Conference season at Oklahoma State on Wednesday (Manila time).
