Even without the suspended Janti Miller, San Beda University turned up the heat in the third quarter, outscoring Colegio de San Juan de Letran 28-14, and ultimately securing an 83-71 victory in a tense Game 2 of the finals—clinching their 24th championship in the NCAA.
Graduating star Yuki Andrada delivered a second-half masterclass, pouring in 15 of his 21 points after halftime, including four clutch triples. Fellow pro-bound Bryan Sajonia chipped in 21 points of his own, knocking down a pivotal three-pointer that pushed the Red Lions’ lead to 76-69 with just 1:59 left on the clock.
Nygel Gonzales also shone with 19 points, three rebounds, and four assists, proving the depth and versatility of San Beda’s lineup.
At the helm, Yuri Escueta further cemented his legacy, guiding the Red Lions to their second title in four seasons and adding to his Season 99 championship triumph over Mapua University — 24th title overall.
