Rebo Saguisag, Em Fernandez to bare UAAP developments on PSA Forum

The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) will lay its cards on the table in its guesting in the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum webcast edition this Tuesday, June 16.

UAAP Executive Director Atty. Rebo Saguisag and UAAP President Emmanuel Fernandez of last season’s host Ateneo serve as the 1-2 punch guests in the 10:00 a.m. session. They will discuss the steps to be taken by the country’s premier collegiate league in the face of the massive effects brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Season 82 was cancelled due to the pandemic last April.

Collegiate events that were stopped were the women’s and men’s volleyball tournaments, and the men’s and women’s football tournaments.

High school events that were stopped due to the suspension were Girls’ Basketball and Beach Volleyball. Also cancelled were medal event athletics, demo sport lawn tennis, and exhibition program streetdance.

The weekly Forum is presented by San Miguel Corporation, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), Amelie Hotel Manila, Braska Restaurant, and Go For Gold PH.

Powered by Smart, the session will be shown live via the PSA Facebook page fb.com/PhilippineSportswritersAssociation and likewise to be shared on Radyo Pilipinas 2 Facebook page.
