Ramil de Jesus highlights focus as catalyst for La Salle’s streak

De La Salle University is finding its rhythm at just the right time.

After a rocky start to UAAP Season 87, the Lady Spikers roared back with a four-game winning streak, showcasing their renewed focus and determination as they stormed into solo third place.

Ramil de Jesus believes this streak reflects the Lady Spikers’ improved ability to stay locked in during matches.

Their commanding win against FEU was the biggest testament to La Salle’s growth, delivering an impressive 25-17, 25-20, 25-22 sweep to cap the first round.

So, hopefully magtuloy-tuloy and once nakitaan ko sila ng ganitong galaw, hahanapin ko sa kanila lagi yun every game,” said De Jesus, who has guided the Lady Spikers to 12 championships.

Angel Canino willingly took a backseat in scoring, contributing 10 points, while Shevana Laput led the charge with 22 points. Alleiah Malaluan added 12 in the 81-minute affair.

For the Season 85 MVP, this upward trend is exactly what they need heading into the second round, with hopes of continuous improvement.

La Salle’s only losses came at the hands of last season’s finalists, National University and University of Santo Tomas.
