After a long wait, the Philippine Basketball Association has finally released the tabs on the players involved in the multiple scuffles that occured between the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and the Globalport Batang Pier last May 20.
Kelly Nabong suffered the brunt of the sanctions, as he was slapped with a PHP 30,0000 fine. PHP 20,000 of it came from a flagrant foul 2 assessed on him, while PHP 10,000 was for flipping the bird to the crowd.
Maverick Ahanmisi, Elasto Painter Nabong shoved that led to his ejection with 3:40 left, was handed a PHP 15,000 fine for pushing Sean Anthony.
After the confrontation between Nabong and Ahanmisi, Moala Tautuaa threw the ball at Ahanmisi, which netted him a fine of PHP 10,000.
Pacifiers Ryan Arana, Jay Washington, and Bradwyn Guinto have to pay PHP 2,000 each for entering the playing court.
Prior to the melee, Malcolm White had inadvertently swung his forearm against a charging Chris Tiu that resulted in the latter getting stitched up on his lip. The Globalport reinforcement was delt with a PHP 20,000 fine.
Another PHP 2,000 was added as he rushed to the scene of the fight.
Finally, Raymond Almazan tried to avenge Tiu by clocking White on the head with 40 seconds left in the contest. It resulted in a PHP 10,000 receipt.
