Rain or Shine hits snag again as Jordan Tolbert exceeds height limit

Rain or Shine will have to search for a new import after Jordan Tolbert exceeded the 6-foot-6 height limit set for the PBA Governors’ Cup.

The 32-year-old American was brought in to replace the injured Greg Smith II, but the Elasto Painters just couldn’t seem to catch a break as import problems continue to hound the ball club in the season-ending conference.

Given this yet another snag, RoS is playing Phoenix Super LPG with an all-Filipino lineup, the second time it has done so this tourney — Smith missed their game against Blackwater last Feb. 16 due to clearance issues.

Tolbert, though, joined the Elasto Painters at the SMART Araneta Coliseum, watching his supposed team from behind the bench.

It remains to be seen how the team will act following the setback, with their next game already this Saturday (Mar. 4) against NorthPort.

Rain or Shine will now be looking for its fourth import after Smith, who replaced original reinforcement Michael Qualls, pulled a hamstring during their eventual loss to Magnolia at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
