The National Football Teams of the Philippines look to end the country’s misery in the Southeast Asian Games.
The Philippine Women’s National Football Team will be separated from tormentor Thailand in the group stages of the regional meet.
The Philippines is slotted with Myanmar and Malaysia in Group A, while Thailand was grouped with Vietnam and Indonesia in the other pool.
The competition takes place from November 26 to December 10, 2019. The top two teams in each group advance to the knockout playoffs.
The PWNFT finished in fourth place back in 2017. Vietnam won the competition.
On the other hand, the Under-22 Men’s Team has been slotted in Group A with Malaysia, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Timor Leste.
Group B will be a group of death featuring Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Singapore, and Brunei.
Thailand won the competition after beating host Malaysia, 1-0, in the finale of the 2017 meet.
