PSL: Espinas’ Luzon, Pingris’ VisMin figure in draw to cap All-Star event


The Pilipinas Super League Pro Division Second Conference Dumper Cup All-Star game proved to be an exhilarating showdown as the Luzon All-Star team went toe-to-toe against the VisMin counterpart, ending in a 123-123 tie.

Former PBA player Gabby Espinas spearheaded the Luzon squad with an impressive 29-point performance, 17 rebounds, and three assists. Meanwhile, Raymond Binuya added 17 points, six rebounds, and six assists.

Rence Nocum, skipper Jerwin Gaco, and Johnsherick Estrada also made notable contributions to the Luzon team with 15, 15, and 14 points, respectively.

Fran Yu chipped in with 10 points.

The game took place at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga, in front of a lively crowd.

The league’s All-Star extravaganza was presented by Dumper party-list, Winzir, and Skin Care Depot, co-presented by SCD Cosmetics, and supported by NET 25, Adcon, Wcube Solutions Inc., MDC, Unisol, Don Benitos, and Finn Cotton.

The weekend event featured other games, including a match between Executives Light and Executives Dark, where Prince Mur Alao and Datu Yap led the Light Executives to a 119-100 victory.

Pampanga Delta 21-Under also claimed a victory over Minglanilla Sherilin Khalifa 21-Under with a score of 96-75.

Justin Bautista played a crucial role in Pampanga Delta’s win with 23 points, four rebounds, and four assists, while Carlo Ferreras and Arthur Roque contributed 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Kurt Reyson scored 18 points for All-Star VisMin, with Jaymar Gimpayan adding 17 points and four rebounds.

Orlan Wamar and Zach Huang combined for 29 points for All-Star VisMin, while PSL Commissioner Marc Pingris had an impressive double-double performance of 13 points and 13 rebounds. John Tayongtong and Monbert Arong also contributed to All-Star VisMin’s score with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
