A power outage temporarily paused the PBA Governors’ Cup game between Terrafirma and Blackwater due to a fire incident that took place within the vicinity of the SMART Araneta Coliseum, Thursday.
The match halted at the 7:20-mark of the second quarter, with the Dyip then holding a 36-27 lead over the Bossing.
The delay lasted for 20 minutes as the venue had to use its power generator to resume the game. Terrafirma remains ahead, 53-46, as of this posting.
A fire incident took place at the nearby Araneta City Bus Terminal, and plenty of smoke could be seen from the Green Gate of the Big Dome.
The Bureau of Fire Protection-NCR (BFP-NCR) received the report at 4:46 PM. It then raised the alarm to Task Force Bravo at 5:08 PM.
