PLDT stars honored to take part in TNT’s PBA 50 parade

The PLDT quintet of Savi Davison, Mika Reyes, Kianna Dy, Majoy Baron, and Jessey De Leon took center stage once again last Sunday.

But this time, it wasn’t on the PVL Taraflex — it was on a different kind of court.

The High Speed Hitters joined the PBA Season 50 opening ceremony at the historic Smart Araneta Coliseum, serving as muses for TNT during the parade.

For Kianna Dy, donning a different hat for a day was a memorable experience.

“It was a first for some of us. It was very exciting kasi minsan lang kami mag-ayos, madalas we are just in our workout outfits. It was a great experience, especially since we are representing our sister team, TNT,” said Dy during PLDT and TNT’s ‘Champions Together’ event on Monday. “It was so much fun.”

The PLDT stars now join the ranks of Alyssa Valdez and Rachel Daquis as PVL players who have accompanied teams during the PBA’s opening ceremonies.

For Mika Reyes, this marked her second time serving as a muse, having also represented Barako Bull in 2015. But this occasion was even more special.

“Of course, we are very proud to be part of the PBA opening, lalo na that we got to represent TNT. We are very happy that we were part of the opening,” said Reyes.

Beyond the sister-team connection, Reyes hopes their participation highlights the unity among all MVP Group teams — including Meralco, NLEX, and Cignal.

“Bigyan natin ng suporta ang lahat ng MVP teams,” she said.
