PVL stars shine as muses in PBA Season 50 Opener


PVL stars took the spotlight after serving as muses of teams during the PBA Season 50 opening rites on Sunday at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

The PLDT quintet of Mika Reyes, Kianna Dy, Majoy Baron, Jessey De Leon, and Savi Davidson headlined the cast of female representatives during the grand ceremonies that raised the curtains of the league’s golden festivities.

All five joined TNT governor and PBA chairman Ricky Vargas as the High Speed Hitters repped the MVP Group’s flagship sports franchise.

Another volleyball athlete who took part in the event was Chery Tiggo opposite hitter Pauline Gaston, who served as muse of the Phoenix Fuel Masters.

Beauty queens, of course, were present as well, bannered by Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo as she joined Meralco.

Miss Universe Philippines 2025 Ahtisa Manalo (Magnolia), Binibining Pilipinas-International 2024 Myrna Esguerra (Titan Ultra), and Binibining Pilipinas-Globe 2022 Chelsea Fernandez (Blackwater) also graced the ceremonies.

Present as well were Miss Universe Philippines 2025-Laguna Eloisa Jaud (Terrafirma) and Mutya ning Kapampangan 2023 Salma Emam (Converge).

Celebrities and content creators took part, too, with singer-actress Sue Ramirez joining Barangay Ginebra San Miguel for her second stint as muse after previously doing so with TNT during the Season 47 opener back in 2022.

Starlet and former Miss Global Philippines 2018 Pearl Gonzales joined NLEX, while social media influencer Patty Paraiso came for Rain or Shine.

Caroline Eyer, who works for San Miguel Corporation, was with the Beermen as one of the muses who gamely joined the league’s celebration of sorts.
