Another former Milkman is on his way to becoming a Fuel Master.
Former Alaska Aces import Rob Dozier will be the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters’ reinforcement for the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup, set to open mid-May, as known agent Sheryl Reyes posted to Twitter on Thursday night.
The 6-foot-9 Dozier also took to social media platform Instagram on the same night to confirm his arrival to the Fuel Masters camp. Phoenix are in the midst of preparations for the 2019 Philippine Cup semifinals versus San Miguel Beer.
Dozier, 33, last played in the league in 2016, where he helped steer the Aces all the way to the Big Dance of the mid-season joust. The Aces finished as runners-up to the Yeng Guiao-mentored Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
The 2013 Commissioner’s Cup titlist with Alaska and the same conference’s Best Import is coming off a stint with San-en NeoPhoenix in the Japan B.League.
Dozier was the Miami Heat’s 60th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, but has become more known as a global journeyman. He will reunite with his fellow ex-Aces such as Calvin Abueva, RJ Jazul, and head coach Louie Alas in Phoenix.
