Petron continued to prove the doubters wrong, sweeping the fancied Chery Tiggo, 25-17, 25-22, 25-21, in the 2020 PSL Grand Prix, Saturday at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.
Kath Bell continued to be a force, finishing with 20 markers.
This time around, the American reinforcement had ample support led by Ces Molina. The national team stalwart added 15 markers to complement the Blaze Spikers’ guest player.
With the two doing damage, Chery Tiggo was left scrambling all throughout the contest.
The win lifted Petron to the early lead in the tournament with a 2-0 slate — tied with Sta. Lucia.
Tatjana Bokan once again led Chery Tiggo with 21 markers.
The Crossovers though dropped to 1-1.
Up next for Petron are the PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters on Saturday, March 14 at Muntinlupa Sports Complex. Cherry Tiggo takes on the same team on Tuesday, still at Filoil Flying V Centre.
