Petro Gazz signed up American outside hitter Lindsey Vander Weide for the upcoming Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference, Wednesday.
The team made the announcement through its social media accounts.
Vander Weide also had stints with Volley-Ball Nantes in France and Békéscsabai Röplabda SE in Hungary. She last played for AEK Athens in Greece.
The 6-foot-3 spiker is a product of University of Oregon.
Vander Weide will be a welcome addition to an already stacked Angels side that has Myla Pablo, Grethcel Soltones, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, and Jonah Sabete in the wings.
Petro Gazz, after making it to the finals of the Open Conference early this year, failed to find its footing in the Invitationals after dealing with a couple of injuries. They eventually finished in sixth place.
The Reinforced Conference begins on October 8.
