Petro Gazz finally got its much-needed reinforcement in the playmaking department with the arrival of Alina Bicar, Wednesday afternoon.
The Angels welcomed the young playmaker through its official Facebook page.
Bicar suited up for BaliPure in the Ilocos Norte bubble of the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.
There, the 5-foot-6 Bicar – who previously played for Pacific Town-Army in the 2019 season – took on the playmaking chores for a gutsy BaliPure squad that scored some shocking wins in the tournament including a five-set thriller over eventual champion Chery Tiggo.
BaliPure finished at the eighth spot with three wins and six losses.
In Petro Gazz, the former UST setter will join veteran playmaker Chie Saet and Ivy Perez.
The Angels came up short in the semifinals against Creamline but salvaged bronze against Choco Mucho.
Bicar is the third member of BaliPure to sign with another team as Graze Bombita and Julia Angles have been tapped by Chery Tiggo.
