PBA Draft: Terrafirma picks JB Bahio at 25, Blackwater selects Cliff Jopia at 26


Two San Beda Red Lions big men were chosen to kick off the third round of the 2023 PBA Rookie Draft on Sunday at Market! Market! in Taguig.

JB Bahio went to Terrafirma, while Cliff Hopia was selected by Blackwater.

Bahio averaged 12.1 points and 9.3 rebounds last season with San Beda.

Meanwhile, Jopia was the tallest player in the class, measuring at 6-foot-8 1/2.

Rain or Shine then acquired Sherwin Concepcion, Phoenix Super LPG selected Matthew Daves, and Northport head coach Bonnie Tan reunited with Brent Paraiso in that order.

Jacob Lao of Converge then picked up his good friend Inand Fornillos before Jolo Mendoza was selected by Meralco.

TNT then decided to forgo its picks, making the first pass.

Another Kiwi, Patrick Maagdenberg, was drafted and went to Magnolia.

Ginebra then added another one of its 3×3 stalwarts in Kim Aurin.

San Miguel closed the round by selecting Troy Mallillin.
