Terrafirma beefed up its lineup after getting James Laput with the eighth pick of the 2021 PBA Rookie Draft, Sunday afternoon.
The Dyip received the pick after trading CJ Perez to San Miguel early this year.
Just like Joshua Munzon, welcoming Laput were Terrafirma governor Bobby Rosales, head coach Johnedel Cardel, and point guard Rashawn McCarthy.
Fil-Aussie Laput, who stands at 6-foot-9, spent all four of his years in Division II school Young Harris College. In his senior year, he started 14 games, totaling 21 points and 38 rebounds.
He then had a one-and-done season with La Salle. Laput only played during the first round, however, since he sustained a freak injury during one of the Green Archers’ practices.
Laput was able to find his form with Big Boss Cement-Porac in the 2020 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 President’s Cup.
