The PBA will hold its annual Draft Combine next week, officially kicking off the pre-season activities for its golden anniversary.
The Combine, which allows teams to evaluate the fitness and skills of rookie prospects, is scheduled for September 4 and 5 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig, starting at 9:00 AM each day.
This two-day event serves as a prelude to the Season 50 Rookie Draft, set for September 7 at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, beginning at 5:00 PM.
As of now, close to 40 players have applied for the draft, with the submission deadline set for the end of office hours this Friday.
Recently added to the pool are former UAAP 3×3 MVP CJ Austria and his La Salle teammate Joshua David, Letran’s Deo Cuajao and Arthur Roque, Perpetual Help’s Cedric Abis, UE’s Justine Guevarra, Saint Benilde’s Jake Gaspay, and Arellano’s Neil Tolentino.
Terrafirma holds the No. 1 overall pick, followed by Phoenix.
In last season’s draft, Justin Baltazar was selected first overall by Converge.
