With Jeron Teng, Norbert Torres, and Thomas Torres currently ailing, their family in the Philippine Basketball Association is calling for everyone to gather together and pray for the quick recovery of the three stalwarts.
“Let us all pray for their speedy recovery,” the league said in a statement.
Early Sunday morning, the three former De La Salle Green Archers figured in a scuffle in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. The three suffered serious wounds after the incident.
The case is currently under investigation, while the players are currently confined at the St. Luke’s Medical Facility, also in Taguig.
Teng, 24 years old, currently plays for the Alaska Aces. He was the fifth overall pick in the 2018 PBA Draft.
On the other hand, Norbert, 28, was selected as the eighth overall pick in the 2015 Draft. He currently plays for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, and has had stints with the Star Hotshots, the Phoenix Fuel Masters, and the TNT Katropa.
Thomas was the 32nd overall pick in the 2017 Draft. He was the final cut of the Star Hotshots. The 23-year-old is currently signed by MPBL club Mandaluyong El Tigre.
