Paul Lee, Magnolia slay another giant in TNT for back-to-back wins

SMART CLARK GIGA CITY – Magnolia had its first win streak in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup following a 102-93 triumph of a fatigued TNT, Wednesday at the SMART 5G-powered AUF Sports and Cultural Center.

The Hotshots took advantage of the Tropang Giga’s tired legs from last night’s game versus NorthPort, scoring 14 straight en route to a wide 18-point advantage, 61-43, approaching the midway mark of the third canto.

TNT, though, put up a fight and even closed to within a point, but the breaks veered away from them when the team was called for a technical foul for excessive timeouts as Poy Erram called for one after nearly losing the ball with 3:53 left.

Lee then made the technical free throw and that extended Magnolia’s lead to 10, 93-83. The opposition never got close anymore as the Hotshots walked away with their third win of the conference.
