Dalph Panopio only played limited minutes in Cal State Bakersfield’s 46-39 win over Boise State, Saturday morning (Manila time) at the ExtraMile Arena in Boise, Idaho.
Panopio only played nine minutes in the game, missing his only shot attempt while grabbing one rebound.
Still, the Roadrunners relied on their defense to take the road win.
CSUB held Boise State to just 22.4 percent shooting from the field on the game, the lowest by any opponent in the coach Rod Barnes Era.
With 3:14 left on the clock, the Broncos tied the game at 36-36.
Kaleb Higgins heated up late while the Roadrunners hit their free throws down the stretch and only let the Broncos make one field goal over the final 7:43 of the game on the way to the road victory.
CSUB, who went up to 3-2, was led by the 11 points of Higgins.
Devonaire Doutivre was the sole double digit scorer for the 3-3 Boise State.
CSUB will take on Idaho next on December 11.
