With just a week left before ONE 158, the much-anticipated clash between world champion Joshua Pacio and Jarred Brooks was called off.
The American challenger, who owns a 19-2 record, suffered an undisclosed injury in training forcing him to pull out of the bout that was scheduled to take place on June 3 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
No replacement fighter was given to Pacio (20-3).
Instead, the bout is being targeted to main event ONE’s event on July 22 which will also take place in Singapore.
Pacio is on a four-fight winning streak, beating Yosuke Saruta, Rene Catalan, Alex Silva, and Saruta again. He last stepped inside the Circle back on September 24.
Meanwhile, Brooks has been unbeaten in ONE, riding a six-fight winning streak. He became the number one contender after defeating Bokang Masunyane via a first round submission back on April 22.
