ONIC PH’s prodigal son Greed returns for MPL PH 8

ONIC PH will be parading a mix of familiar and new faces come the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight after announcing its eight-man squad, Sunday evening.

MPL champion Allen “Greed_” Baloy, who played for ONIC PH in Season Four before leading Sunsparks (now Aura PH) to a championship in Season Five, looks to settle some unfinished business as he re-signed with the same squad that he started his professional career with.

The Indonesian organization also tapped the services of former Laus Playbook Esports stars Nowee “Ryota” Macasa and Ian “Beemo” Sergio, along with rookie Mico “miicoo” Quitlong to join holdovers Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera, Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol, Jaylord “Hate” Gonzales, and Marky “Markyyyyy” Capacio.

ONIC PH also named a new coach, appointing former Cignal player and tactician Denver “Yebmaester” Mirando.

The organization announced the release of long-time player Christian “Iy4knu” Manaog and coach Kyle “Ryo” Berceño hours ago.

ONIC PH, after making back-to-back grand finals appearances since entering the league, fell to fourth place in Season Six.

The team then suffered its worst finish in Season Seven, with the post-V33Wise squad finishing at seventh-eight place after a five-game, first round exit against Execration.
