ONIC PH releases Hatred; Ryota only player left in roster

The revamp continues for ONIC PH after unloading midlaner Jaylord “Hatred” Gonzales on Thursday afternoon.

With Hatred out, Nowee “Ryota” Macasa is now the lone player with a contract under ONIC PH.

After a two-season stint with Execration, Hatred joined ONIC PH in the MPL Philippines Season Seven. His debut with the organization proved to be a forgettable one as the organization suffered a franchise-worst 7th-8th place exit.

The team immediately bounced back in Season Eight, making it to the grand finals of the MPL Philippines Season Nine and the M3 World Championships only to lose to Blacklist International in lopsided affairs.

In Season Nine, ONIC PH was poised to make another run for the title but eventually ended up at fourth place after losing to Omega Esports in the lower bracket semifinals.

The 19-year-old jungler-turned-support averaged 2.62 kills, 2.38 deaths, and 6.00 assists for ONIC PH in Season Nine and ended up with a 3.63 kill-death-assist tally. He also racked up a total of 118 kills, 107 deaths, and 270 assists.
