Michaelo Buddin is set to extend National University’s dynasty as he returns for his fifth and final playing year, aiming to help steer the Bulldogs toward a seventh consecutive UAAP Men’s Volleyball title in Season 89.
The Season 88 Best Outside Spiker confirmed his decision through an Instagram post on Wednesday.
“See you Season 89,” Buddin wrote.
“One last bark!”
The 6-foot-1 standout from Puerto Princesa, Palawan, was instrumental in NU’s Season 88 championship run, teaming up with fellow Alas Pilipinas members Leo Ordiales, Jade Disquitado, and Peng Taguibolos.
Buddin also finished third in the Most Valuable Player race, behind University of Santo Tomas standout Josh Ybañez and teammate Ordiales.
Only Jonas Hernandez has exhausted his eligibility following NU’s Season 88 campaign, which concluded on May 9 with the Bulldogs capturing their sixth straight crown.
Meanwhile, head coach Dante Alinsunurin earlier told Tiebreaker Times that Ordiales has already drawn multiple offers to play abroad.
