Ever since its inception in 2011, ONE Championship, the premiere fight league in Asia, has always made it a point to have two shows in Mega Manila.
Six years later, ONE is raising the ante, booking four Philippine shows for the calendar year of 2018.
“We are thrilled to announce our incredible 2018 calendar of events for ONE Championship,” said ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong. “We have 24 massive shows planned for all sports fans in Asia and will continue to showcase the absolute best in martial arts, delivered by our homegrown martial arts superheroes.
“2018 is going to be an epic year of action and I can’t wait to get things started.”
After ONE Championship will hold Legends of the World on Friday, November 10, the company will make a return on Friday, January 26 for its second show of the year.
ONE’s annual summer show will happen on Friday, April 20 and will be followed by another card on July 27.
The Philippines’ end of the year card is slated to happen on Friday, November 2016.
The country currently boasts two world champions in ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon Vera and ONE Lightweight World Champion Eduard Folayang. Moreover, there are a lot of Filipinos signed up to the company.
While 2017 certainly continues to be spectacular for the promotion, 2018 already promises to be even better as ONE Championship pulls out all the stops to become the global leader in martial arts and sports entertainment.
