ONE Championship has announced that its inaugural event in Surabaya, Indonesia, ONE Championship: Conquest of Kings initially set for Saturday, July 29, is currently being rescheduled due to logistical issues and has been postponed as of further notice.
Two Filipino fighters were originally scheduled to take part in the card with Team Lakay’s Danny Kingad (5-0) staking his unblemished record against Hexigetu (4-2) of Inner Mongolia, China while Filipino flyweight Rocky “The Outlaw” Batolbatol (5-3). Batolbatol was looking to end his three-fight losing streak against Indonesia’s own Sunoto (6-3).
Up next for ONE Championship is its second event Macao, China. Kings and Conquerors. The card will feature three Filipino fighters as Eric Kelly (12-3) takes on Kotetsu Boku (25-11-2) while Joshua Pacio (9-1) locks in on a title shot, facing Hayato Suzuki (16-0-2). Debuting Filipina atomweight Jomary Torres (1-0) will also make her promotional debut, facing Rika Ishige (2-0).
