NXP Evos spoils Exort’s RSG debut, racks second straight win in MPL PH

Nexplay EVOS spoiled Dexter “Exort” Martinez’s debut, handing RSG PH a tight 2-0 sweep for its second-straight win in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight, Friday night.

With the win, Nexplay EVOS (2-3) forged a three-way tie with Omega Esports (1-4) and TNC (2-2) at the fourth spot with six points apiece.

“Actually, maraming challenges na nangyari dito,” said John Paul “H2wo” Salonga after the win. “Nag change of mindset lang din po kami na kaya po namin, ginamit namin yung motivation na inano samin ni sir Midnight. Focus lang sa goal, one team one goal.”

James “Jeymz” Gloria (X.Borg) sealed a game-clinching Luminous Lord steal in the 27:26-minute mark to give Nexplay EVOS a narrow Game One win for the 1-0 lead in the series.

But it was Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera (Chou) who notched the SMART 5G MVP honor with a game-high nine assists along with four deaths in the 16-14 victory.

The kills allowed Nexplay EVOS to take down the Luminous Lord and go for the series-clinching win.
