National University will represent the Philippines in the 2024 VTV International Women’s Volleyball Cup.
The organizers announced on Monday that the Lady Bulldogs have replaced the University of Indonesia in the annual tournament organized by the Volleyball Federation of Vietnam and sponsored by Vietnam Television.
Last Saturday, NU withdrew from the 2024 V-League Women’s Collegiate Challenge, citing that the team’s management had accepted invitations to compete and train overseas.
NU defeated Letran in four sets in their sole game of the tournament. This game will now be removed from the standings.
The tournament will mark the return of Bella Belen, Alyssa Solomon, and Arah Panique to the Lady Bulldogs after their stints with Alas Pilipinas Women during the SEA V-League.
Karl Dimaculangan will serve as the team’s interim head coach for the tournament, scheduled from August 24 to 31 in Ninh Bình.
During last year’s edition of the tournament, Choco Mucho finished in third place.
