NorthPort taps 24-year-old Prince Ibeh as import

NorthPort will parade a fresh reinforcement in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup with the signing of Prince Ibeh.

Team manager Bonnie Tan confirmed the development, Thursday.

Tan said that the 24-year-old arrived early Thursday.

Ibeh is coming off a stint with Yokohama B-Corsairs in the Japan B.League. He only put up per-game averages of 4.58 points and 7.37 rebounds, but he made up for it on defense with 2.63 blocks.

The 6-foot-10 center is from the Texas Longhorns program. After going undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft, Ibeh played for the Long Island Nets in the NBA G-League until 2018.

Ibeh is seen to help the Batang Pier run further in the mid-season conference compared to last season’s edition, where they bowed out of the quarterfinals no thanks to the top-seeded Rain or Shine.
