NLEX kicks off PBA 50 with first-ever fan send-off at SM Clark

For the first time in franchise history, the NLEX Road Warriors will hold their season send-off together with their fans as they gear up for the 50th season of the Philippine Basketball Association.

The “Arangkada Send-Off” will be on Friday, September 26, at the Events Center of SM City Clark — a significant shift from the team’s previous tradition of hosting the ceremony within the NLEX compound in Balintawak.

NLEX Road Warriors governor Ronald Dulatre explained the shift, emphasizing the team’s goal to strengthen connections with their supporters and bring the excitement of the new season closer to the fans.

“We want to bring NLEX closer to our fans. During the off-season, we held programs from youth camps to coaching clinics, and this send-off is the culmination of it all,” said Dulatre.

The mall event will feature the introduction of the entire Road Warriors lineup for the upcoming PBA Philippine Cup, which officially opens on October 5.

Also set to be unveiled is the team’s muse for the PBA opening ceremony on October 5 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

To energize the festivities, the Road Warriors dancers will showcase special performances, while fans can look forward to interactive activities alongside their basketball heroes.

NLEX President and General Manager Luis S. Reñon will also grace the occasion, underscoring the organization’s commitment to making this milestone season more memorable.

For the players, the fan send-off serves as an added source of motivation heading into the league’s golden year.

“Malaking bagay ito sa amin na makita namin ang aming pinaglalaban at para mas mapalapit pa sa ating mga kababayan sa Norte,” said lead guard Robert Bolick.
