Nicole Tiamzon moves to Petro Gazz

Another Perlas Spiker has found a new home.

Nicole Tiamzon has signed with Petro Gazz for the upcoming 2022 Premier Volleyball League season.

“Let’s all welcome, one of the biggest hearts for the next generation aspiring volleyball players, founder, and director of Spike and Serve,” read the team’s announcement.

“Nicole Tiamzon, all ‘Gazzed Up’ to inspire more people out there with her level of play!”

Tiamzon, 26, has been a mainstay of Perlas since 2017.

The 5-foot-6 product of University of the Philippines becomes the fifth Perlas player to switch teams. She follows Jem Ferrer (Choco Mucho), Cherry Nunag (Choco Mucho), Dzi Gervacio (F2 Logistics), and Gel Cayuna (Cignal).

Tiamzon is also the fourth new signing of Petro Gazz after Cienne Cruz, Djanel Cheng, and Jonah Sabete.

The Angels lost Ria Meneses, Kath Arado, Ces Molina, Jerrili Malabanan, Alina Bicar, Ivy Perez, Mean Mendrez, Jessey De Leon, and Rica Enclona to free agency.
