Veteran goalkeeper Neil Etheridge looks to return to action for the Philippine Azkals as part of their program in the Middle East this month.
The 33-year-old stopper will be joined by the likes of fellow stalwarts Amani Aguinaldo, Carli de Murga, Daisuke Sato, Kevin Ingreso, Manuel Ott, and Patrick Reichelt.
Aside from Etheridge, Kuala Lumpur City’s Kevin Hansen was called up to compete to be the team’s starting goalkeeper.
In front of them, Jesse Curran, Michael Kempter, John Lucero, Jesper Nyholm, Christian Rontini, and Jefferson Tabinas will fight for spots in the backline.
Over to the midfield, Oliver Bias, Dennis Chung, Lloyd Ignacio, and Patrick Strauss will look to nail their spots in the middle of the park.
Lastly, Mark Hartmann, Bienvenido Maranon, and OJ Porteria will look to score the goals upfront.
There is still no official word from the Philippine Football Federation when it comes to the nations that the Azkals will face for this month.
It is also unsure if Josep Ferre was re-signed or kept as the team’s head coach, or if there will be a new man in charge.
